The Yellow Pilgrimage

This DEMO was originally made solo in 5 days for the Jamsepticeye Game Jam and was the first game I actually finished making, rather than abandoning halfway.

A Pilgrim in a lost kingdom seeks out the infamous King in Yellow upon hearing a rumour that doing so may earn them a bounty beyond their wildest dreams. However, after suffering an unfortunate incident on the Yellow Pilgrimage, a mysterious, Pallid-Masked individual arrives, explaining that the lines between life and death are now thinner than one could ever have thought. With nothing left to lose, they set out to begin the journey anew with a newly acquired body and freshly purchased, expendable assets—companions.

Warning: This content contains some mild flashing lights. No strobe effects, but anyone sensitive to flashes might want to err on the side of caution.

The full game will have:

- More biomes

- More classes/skills

- A finishable story with expanded lore

- Alternative endings 

- NPC questlines

- Hazardous interactibles that will require items to cleanse for a favourable outcome, OR being able to rely on your companion's expertise for such things.

- Divesting Classes from Husks, allowing the player to customize their appearance anyway they desire, regardless of the class they play.

- More unlockable mechanics to further ease your pilgrimage attempts after falling in battle

- Enhanced, more consistent difficulty (as it currently ping-pongs around too much for my taste.)

- And more I don't want to give away!

Please let me know if you find any bugs. I can update them here for any known causes/solutions, and then will promptly fix them once voting for the Gamejam has finished.

Known Bugs

1. Entering into the recruit allies menu without enough money to buy anyone may softlock you.

2. The Paladin class is currently not ready, as many of their skills don't work. Please do not use them. Use a Vicar for a healer.
